Mannatech Strikes again with Holy Water!
Looks like Mannatech is at it again, this time, revolutionizing water!
Background
I reviewed the company Mannatech a few weeks ago for their successful attempts at circumventing laws, selling nothing but useless overpriced sugar pills and telling those taking them it will cure their cancer, aids and a host of other outrageous claims. (Mannatech: Overpriced Sugar Pills)
Well, I guess they are on fire now, apparently, they have discovered something new, truly revolutionizing… water! I have to give them credit though, they admit they are selling nothing but sugar pills, now they are selling water, at least they got some honesty (however perverse).
Enhanced Water Technology
You got to be kidding, people actually believe this bull shit? Water, is made by two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, forming H2O. If it was H3O or HO3 then it isn’t water, it’s something else! Their new line of revolutionizing skin care product, dubbed “Optimal Skin Care System” is free of preservatives, fragrances and colorants… their marketing worked overtime on this one folks because the secret behind being able to do this is Enhanced Water Technology! WOW….
Tensa Water
I though this was a joke but apparently Mannatechs incredible water technology uses proprietary filtration and enhancement systems that creates a new form of water called Tensa Water. What is Tensa Water? Well, it’s like glyconutrients, a catch phrase that only exists in marketing departments as opposed to scientific ones. Tensa means Heavenly. So, to put this another way, Mannatechs Water Technology, the thing they spent so much R&D developing via prayer produces Heavenly Water.
Clinical Studies?
Mannatech is as synonymous to a clinical study as a boat is to an orange tree. They did a study that showed by using this incredible heavenly water called Tensa that people had increased skin moisture, smoothness and hydration… no shit… they are putting water on it! They even point to the fact that this study found out that radiance (incredibly subjective word that is scientifically useless) grew by 75% and skin moisture improved by 100%! Mannatech has to be laughing all the way to the bank on this one.
Ultra Pure Water
Well, apparently Tensa is a revolution and they have also invented Ultra Pure Water as well, with a mix of other naturally sourced ingredients such as trehalose, iris florentina root extract with isoflavone, yeast extract, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and artemia extract.
What’s Next?
Well, I am convinced that in a few months Mannatech will be selling dirt, after water and sugar, this has to be the next logical step… no? 75% of the Earth is covered by water, they got that market covered so the next 25% must come from the land itself as they have also cornered the vegetation growing on land. I think they may even be crazy enough to sell Holy Air which you add via compressed canister to all your meals to help triple it’s nutritional content. I can see the headline now “Mannatech Revolutionizes Air and Dirt with proprietary technology that infuses the Holy Spirit in every atom, leading to a total rejuvenation of mind and spirit”.
The Bottom Line
At least people buying overpriced water to put on their skin isn’t going to cause death or serious injury, unlike their sugar pill that some people take instead of sound medical knowledge. This company is a joke, ripping people off all while laughing all the way to the bank.

this article on Tensa Water is horrible, the science behind this water is soooo legit, any scientist that not all water has the same charge or energy balance. If you were on your deathbed, would you drink tap water or Tensa water, if both were available and you wanted to recover.

The chemical structure of pure water is H20, please provide me with the “special” chemical structure of “Tensa”? If it isn’t H20 then IT IS NOT WATER. If I was on my death bed, I would be drinking anything I can get my hands on if I was thirsty as I would be DYING ANYWAYS!
Please read my other blog post about Mannatech, I have yet to hear a response, you guys are all being swindled and scammed in the name of religion and profits which, in my book, don’t mix very well.

I have to wonder if my comment will get posted. First I have to ask Jon, what ax you have to grind with Mannatech? I am a scientist and have looked at the studies by Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine, Oxford University’s OXJournals from the College of GlycoBiology, the Fischer Research Institutes Clinical Studies, the Endowment for Medical Research and their findings on the “ninth” Plant Carbohydrate called Trehalose, and found that the 30,000 some odd articles on the “Science” are incredibly noteworthy and stand alone. If Mannatech’s Patents couldn’t stand up to scientific scrutiny, they wouldn’t have been awarded the patents and several Judges wouldn’t have upheld Mannatechs Patent Infringement claims and awarded Mannatech Treble Damages. Those companies that are trying to mimic what Mannatech has achieved says alot when imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. BTW, those companies including the Pharmaceutical companies will now have to recover all of the product they sold and return it to Mannatech for Destruction. I am not employed by Mannatech but can tell you there is a reason people like Jon are so vocal against something so good, and that is because they have a hidden agenda or cause celeb. Mannatech is the first ones to tell you to do your own due dilligence. Tensa water by the way is not the water that is important, it is the filtering that adds the extra qualities, the soluable minerals released in the process. Jon didn’t tell you the whole truth.

One simple question, since when does filtering of PURE H2O actually “add” anything? This makes absolutely no sense. I have no axe to grind with Mannatech, I just want them to PROVE using the scientific method of a double blind study that their stuff actually works. Since when are scientists suppose to be impressed by the lack of “science” behind a “researched” product? I am a scientist as well, and from what I have seen, heard and read on their own website, I cannot say I am impressed what-so-ever. Send me a non-biased research paper that is from a double-blind study and I would love to post it here for “scientists” and scientists to debate.
What do you do for a living or more succinctly whom do you work for? Why such vitriol about Mannatech? The distribution model they use is no different from the top coprorations in this country, AT&T, MCI, GM, Coca Cola, and the hundreds of franchizes… Because they sell product and make money is what most all businesses are about, so that can’t be it. They sell more than sugar pills, if you studied the history behind the development and the eight critical components and how they work. Glycosylation means life and these patented formulas put those on the cell you can’t get from the diet. Sure we can grow produce faster and healthier using “hydroponics”, but they are still green harvested because we can’t ship vine ripened anything to market to feed the masses without them spoiling. We do not get what we need from diet which is why autoimmune has gone up ten fold, that is why children are dying and getting obese…the manufacturers of your favorite snack food have chemically altered everything tricking your body into thinking it isn’t getting enough. How many bananas or peaches or apples can youe eat without your body saying I have had enough of that… Lays figured it out and even advertized I bet you can’t eat just one, because the chemically send a signal blocking the brain saying your satisfied the way your body does with natural fruit. I challenge anyone out there to disprove the claims made in the patents, BTW Mannatechs products are in the PDR the Doctors use and yes one of their products has under gone FDA scrutiny and has been validated… it too is in the PDR. The FDA btw is in the pockets of big Pharma not the industry giant, Mannatech, that has lobbied for Good Manufacturing processes, and yes is pushing the nutritional supplement industry into a remarkably higher standard than the FDA.
In terms of the term Glyconutrition, yes it was Mannatechs, but what about Dannons. L.Casei Imunnitas, or Mountain Dew, there is no Mountain Dew in that, they are recognized trademarks and that helps set the companies and products aside from others who make claims. Again I challenge anyone to disprove the numerous patented claims made by Mannatech…because if you can you will over turn the multimillion dollar judgements made in the courts of law supporting Mannatechs claims. it is only individuals who have an ax to grind for some reason or another that really do the harm (I suspect they are proud of themselves also), instead of companies likeMannatech who do so much good. If they didn’t have it, Merck and other Pharma companies wouldn’t be trying to synthesize these nutrients and place them on the surface of their toxic drugs. There are famous Doctors like Ben Carson and numerous athletes from around the world that use and depend on these products recognizing their values. There are over 95 athletes now on team Mannatech and the NFL and others who repeatedly stand up for the regimes which include this nutrional program, and that is exactly what it is food, nothing more nothing less, just giving the body what it needs to do the job the body was designed to do by supplementing our modern diets with what the soils have lost and the market can’t deliver. Interms of claims of curing cancer, Mannatech does not make any claims of cure or mitigation, that is illegal, have some people made those claims? Yes but the company hasn’t and those that have have been warned or dropped from the program when found out because it is illegal and the ABC 20/20 show used ringers to set up the show, because every representative is trained about what not to say and what claims not to make. There are snake oil salesman out there and will say anything and promise everything to get you to buy, but that is not the company those are independent sales people. Again the challenge is out to actually prove what Mannatech claims is false… People follow the money why would someone put so much effort as this to disuade people from something so right unless there is a hidden agenda here, maybe a competing product to sell or an allegience to another company perhaps? I have spent over 5 years following this and I have yet to see anything false about the claims, knowing the big drug companies don’t ;like it and they have enough lobby in D.C to place 5 people at every door in congress. They are fighting it in every way they can but even they are not succeeding. The challenge is there and the diligence is yours.

You have a very well thought-out argument, my problem with Mannatech is in the way they promise what they cannot deliver and use the guise of religion to not only promote their product but slowly dissolve away the very big difference that exists between “science” and “belief”. There is no hidden agenda on my part - prove to me your stuff works and I would love to use it… but don’t use studies that you funded yourself and use the scientific method of a double blind study! I have yet to see this and considering the resources at their disposal, the fact that they haven’t done such a thing yet to me shows a hidden agenda that has no more to do with science than with religion.

ps: Mountain Dew doesn’t promise to cure Cancer, HIV or other serious ailments which is something “promised” through “testimonials” by too many Mannatech Reps. I have yet to see a statement directly saying that not only are these not true but consumption of Mannatech products has no effect on the progression of any type of condition/disease AT ALL… something which, to my knowledge, they have never done.

I do not believe though they use religion to sell products or promote the cures and yes they do refute the false claims made by associates, they just haven’t take out ads in the newspapers to make such statements. Those that use and support the products know the facts and those that violate them are quickly reprimanded and dropped from being able to sell the product or promote them. In terms of testimonials, the company was the first to tell me that you can stack a thousand testimonials on top of each other, that doesn’t make good science, good science does. In terms of funding their own research, yes everyone especially the big pharma pushing toxic cover up drugs in stead of promoting wellness do their own studies and funding and dupe others into believing they are safe even though they have the “double blind” studies, it is the FDA that is blind and they hope to blind the public… that is where the doubling comes in. Mannatech doesn’t offer special gimmics to Doctors for promoting something toxic like drug companies do. The fact that the products are in the PDR but the DOctors don’t promote them is there are no perks for them like from the drug companies.
I was the biggest skeptic of all when it comes to natural products or snake oil, but I tried to discourage my wife and everyone else in my family from trying the product and not buy into the hype. That said, I know that my wife who was diagnosed with Primary Biiliary Cirrohsis and a candidate for a liver transplant has not been on any drugs now since 2003 and her liver function tests are all in normal range again. Not because of a placebo effect but because she tried the product and let it stand on its own… remarkable results. DId the product do it? I believe her body did it because it was fed properly.

Hello Kevin, I have a few issues with your statement:
1) Mannatech uses religion to sell its products, they distribute through churches and are well known as a Christian company. They do NOT use science to back-up their product, they use belief which is what religion is. As such, I cannot agree with you on this statement. Now, maybe they have changed their way since I wrote this article, I hope they have changed their ways since… but so far, I haven’t seen any indication of this.
2) The reason that doctors don’t promote Mannatech products is BECAUSE there is NO INDEPENDENT PROOF (this is why a double blind study is for) that it actually does anything beyond a placebo effect. Big pharma, sure, some of their stuff is toxic but at least this is an indication of potency - if something has NO side-effects what-so-ever, then saying it “works” is highly subjective. If you had cancer, which would you take? A Mannatech product with thousands of testimonials saying “it works” or documented proof of cancer recession from active biopsies over several years? Don’t minimize the placebo effect either, we know next to nothing about the brain and its relationship with our bodies… it plays a huge role in the success of pharmaceuticals as well.
3) I appreciate your testimonial but how would you feel if a double blind study came out that showed the effect of Mannatech products where equivalent to a multi-vitamin? I am not trying to minimize the results you have had, but I have to question how much (if any) role Mannatech has had with your condition. If it works for you… great! But I wouldn’t substitute their products for sound medical expertise.
