Sorry but anybody that quotes me the bible in order to support a scientific argument simply has nothing to stand on. You might as well be quoting me verses from a Superman's comic book series... it has the same weight and believability.

You have thoroughly mixed up what a belief is (religion) with fact (science) and as a result, you have jumped into the wrong rabbit hole and I'm not following you in. You are free to believe what you want but don't confuse it with facts as you have... you are doing no religion nor person any good service by doing so, only further breading ignorance.

Ignorance is wonderful isn't it Gary. I hope you wake-up one day and realize what you consider the truth is actually all an illusion created by your inability to grasp the reality around you.

Have a fun day!

I don't need to go to a church, Jon. As a new believer in the early 70s, the Lord told me that He wanted to be my Healer and I've trusted Him do be that for me and He has.

You bandy the word "ignorant" far too much for one about whom it so aptly applies.

I'll say it again, s-l-o-w-l-y this time so you're get it. There are more evidentially substantiated miracles, to the tune of many tens of thousands, than you have time to investigate and there are many organizations who would show you such evidence, just as there are people you know who could testify of the miracles they're received but are you likely to ask your friends and acquaintances if they've ever seen or experienced a miracle?

Or is your mind is made up and you don't want to be confused with the facts?

Do know and understand that my use of the term "miracle" doesn't mean an answer to prayer that could be regarded as coincidence, but I'm referring to the dictionary definition -- that which defies the known laws, such as amputated feet growing, the dead being raised beyond the time of brain death, without damage, instantaneous growth of arms, legs, teeth, hair, instantaneous burn healings, instantaneous weight loss in excess of 20 lbs., instantaneous healing of people with deadly diseases that have progressed over significant time to the point that they were given up by the medical profession, instantaneous removal of scars, etc.

Those are miracles, Jon. Gradual recovery is a healing and there are many more of those than there are miracles.

About all these things you could find, because you have the Internet and you know how to read and write and use a phone. Unfortunately, some people are educated beyond their intelligence. How about you?

Every hear of Lionel Luckhoo? He's the only lawyer who ever won 245 successive murder cases. You think he's got a good mind? He investigated the claims of Jesus Christ. You should read what he said. Of course there are a multitude of men who are far more intelligent than you who give compelling testimony regarding the One who gave His life a ransom for man.

But interestingly, Jesus Himself testified why men refuse Him. That testimony is in John 3:17-20. Hear Him expose your heart:

John 3:17 "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.
John 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19 "And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.
John 3:20 "For everyone who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

That's the guy who heals me. It makes perfect sense. If He loved me enough to pay the penalty for my sins, then He loves me enough to heal me... and He does, so I don't need a hospital and I encourage others that if they want to live, stay out of hospitals.

You should do some research on how many people go into a hospital with one problem and die in the hospital from something else that they didn't have when they entered the hospital. That would give a thinking man pause to consider.

I'll first remark about your utter stupidity regarding the living God who is worthy to be praised.

I've seen with my own eyes dozens of VISIBLE miracles occur right in front of me and dozens more which occurred in a time span greater than a few seconds.

There are many more video evidences, medically confirmed by reputable and responsible doctors, of such miracles, *than you have the time to watch* yet, you're satisfied to close your eyes and ears and pretend that you know that about which you speak when your ignorance is appalling yet laughable.

My ignorance? I've spent decades listening to truly knowledgeable and well-educated doctors who long ago recognized that the crap that spews from your mouth has a large part to play in the death of millions because it perpetrates blind allegiance to a wickedly corrupt and self-serving profession that pretends, "We're doctors; we know that of which we speak; we're educated; if we err the AMA and the government would shut us down."

I know it's a pretense; do you Jon?

Anyone with a brain who can read and listen knows that medical malpractice insurance is so high not because of litigation but because there is so much medical malpractice. But you don't know that, do you, Jon. You only know that Mannatech is selling "sugar pills."

Jon, did you read of the good doctor and his wife found guilty of the murder of 68 people by overdose? 68 Jon -- not two. Where were the "highly skilled people?" How exactly does that jibe with your "highly skilled remark?" It doesn't, Jon, and you weren't even talking about doctors but drug researchers. Jon, do you even understand that to qualify for sale, there is the requirement on every drug, the reporting of just how much it takes to kill a patient? Jon, you're so smart that you don't see what's wrong with this picture, do you?

Your pretense that you know what you're talking about is ludicrous. You're a big mouth with knowledge contrary to good sense, full of falsehoods and pretensions that kill hundreds of thousands while hundreds of thousands live but suffer in sickness that the medical profession won't cure and won't heal because either deliberately or through willful ignorance refuse to meet the needs effectively because deadly drugs are more profitable and are designed to keep the patients coming back for more.

Why heal a patient when one has the potential to make money from them the rest of their lives?

There was a tape distributed years ago called "Dead doctors don't lie." You should listen to it and learn something useful. You could also do just a modicum of Internet research and find a plethora of information that's dramatically superior to the garbage that you spew along with being quite contradictory. But you like your way... and I'm ignorant. Yeah, right.

Do you pay any attention to drug trials and the specifics of the damage done to the human "guinea pigs"? I didn't think so.

I see a group of these "guinea pigs" twice a month and regularly marvel how the government allows the abuse of people with the simple label "Medical Research."

How much time do you spend giving serious thought to the multitude of side effects that include worse side effects and even death, than the illness for which the drug is designed to "help" but not cure? Not much, huh? And neither do you understand what's wrong with this picture, because these people who tested these deadly drugs are "highly skilled," right?

The way I see it, you're the ignorant one who gives a pass to the FDA and entire medical profession while you absolutely REFUSE to see the millions of people they've destroyed with their litany of bad science, bad medicine, incompetence, greed, carelessness, arrogance and hard-hearted refusal to learn what really works because they're more interested in maintaining the status quo that perpetuates their financial success while making the recipients of this grand design dependent on them in ignorance rather than actually helping people get well.

Please don't think I despise all doctors or the medical profession. I just don't walk in the moral stupor that you do and I understand that there is no guarantee that a doctor has any higher ethics than a used car salesman or a lawyer.

Do you know anything of the hospitals and clinics outside the US that treat Americans and are more effective in treating a variety of maladies than similar facilities in the US because the FDA, "protecting our best interests," won't allow proven remedies to be used in this country? No, I'm sure you stay away from that knowledge also, and smugly tout that you're glad the FDA is so "diligent" in looking out for us!

Are you really that ignorant Jon, or are you massively invested in pharmaceutical stocks?

I could write books about the criminal behavior of the FDA, the pharmaceutical industry, the AMA and the medical profession in general but it's not necessary -- THEY'VE ALREADY BEEN WRITTEN... and you refuse to read them or to even recognize the absolute truth in so much of the unquestionable claims against the medical establishment.

Friend, your arrogance coupled with your willful ignorance is inexcusable. You are not qualified to comment on drugs, health care, the FDA, the medical profession, Mannatech, nor anything else related to the above. Because of you, the proverb is is proven true -- you know just enough to be dangerous.

Jon, an educated but ignorant and deceived idiot is actually worse than an uneducated idiot because of the naive who are deceived by them.

You're welcome for the comment.

The idiocy of your remarks actually incline me strongly to think you're a shill for the medical profession like Stephen Barrett, who was exposed a few years ago. You might benefit from reading the harm that he's tried to do and consider how close the two of you are.

The reason for my passion along with my obvious contempt for your empty words is that I've seen too many people die, including those in my own family precisely because of their deception that existed and still exists directly as a result of the pervasiveness of the crap you spew.

I know you're too thick to get this but one harmless expensive sugar pill (at worst) is far superior to millions of deadly and unnecessary or over-prescribed or wrongly prescribed drugs, *deliberately designed to not cure* but to keep the medical profession in the patients' pocketbooks the rest of their lives.

It's not enough for you to praise this perverted standard, but you have to dump on (in your utter ignorance) those who are trying to make and those who are trying to find, better alternatives.

Do everyone a favor and shut up.

Ignorance is bliss isn't it? To think that there could possibly be a God that could make such a human as yourself... I hope He at least has the forethought to make you sterile. Thanks for the comment!

Do remove this "pre-reply" after you read it, if you please. I went back and read some and then realized that you read and respond to these comments.

I hardly think you need to respond to me. I don't think you're going to follow my suggestions -- they would be too time consuming and no one wants to "lose face." Therefore, it's perfectly alright to just ignore me.

The murder of my father was by no means my first time to see the evil of the system that you praise for "double blind tests" and pharmaceuticals that are promoted by "highly skilled people." For what knowledge you have, how can you be so stupid? Or is is naivete? It may have started as naivete, but by now, you've had enough opportunity to get educated so it's got to be stupid.

Let me say it another way. The FDA isn't serving the people they're supposed to serve; they're serving the drug companies. If you can't see that, there is no reason to discuss any of this with you.

Try this: Type a dozen or so combinations of words using "100,000" and "deaths". Don't use "FDA" "medical profession" "pharmaceutical" "legal drugs" "AMA" or "doctors." Check out how many headlines point to the medical community and their irresponsibility and carelessness and then see if "Mannatech" ever appears in any one of the headlines. Then consider 100,000 deaths a year by those who are supposed to be healing people and slow your brain down long enough to actually consider who's doing the most harm here -- those in whom you put your confidence or the "sugar pill con men." Then if you can honestly tell me that this blog is worthwhile, I can still honestly tell you that you're still stupid.

Do remove this “pre-reply” after you read it, if you please. I went back and read some and then realized that you read and respond to these comments.

I hardly think you need to respond to me. I don’t think you’re going to follow my suggestions — they would be too time consuming and no one wants to “lose face.” Therefore, it’s perfectly alright to just ignore me.

The murder of my father was by no means my first time to see the evil of the system that you praise for “double blind tests” and pharmaceuticals that are promoted by “highly skilled people.” For what knowledge you have, how can you be so stupid? Or is is naivete? It may have started as naivete, but by now, you’ve had enough opportunity to get educated so it’s got to be stupid.

I didn't read much beyond the crap by the original poster and I say it's crap because this guy obviously gives more credibility to the FDA than to Mannatech. Are you really that stupid?

The FDA is the enemy of the American public (do your due diligence and see if you don't come to the same conclusion -- find out the people they've tried to destroy and for what reasons, and find out who they truly serve) and chemotherapy is legalized murder in most instances and if you'll do your homework you'll find two very plain facts: one, people that take chemo die sooner than those who don't and doctors won't give chemotherapy to their own family members. (The first person I heard that from was and still is a medical doctor) Those two facts speak volumes more to me than all the crap anyone can come up with. Though doctors won't give chemotherapy to their family members, they'll take your money to administer it to you. And I should trust someone like that?

I watched chemotherapy kill my father while I marveled at the idiocy of this system that gives credibility, respect and honor to legalized murder and at the same time refuses to recognize that cancer has been getting cured since the 1950s but not by the pharma-mafia who controls the FDA and the medical profession.

Idiots mock at God and then hold medical doctors in the esteem that only God deserves and refuse to recognize the $$ motive that drives medical decisions. How utterly stupid.

You attack Mannatech and give credibility to the medical profession that kills 100,000 people a year in America alone... and you do it without blinking an eye. What a fruitcake.

The only product from Mannatech that was absolutely outstanding to me (and I do not exaggerate) was Mannaloe. As a distributor, I paid less than $30 for it but retail was $39 and if I could still get it, I would pay retail. I've never seen any Aloe Vera product as good and I've tried several. And by "not as good" I mean none of them even came close. I could actually feel Mannaloe almost immediately (it was nothing but freeze dried Aloe Vera and Lecithin) and it gave me a sense of euphoria and made dramatic improvement in my digestive system. Unfortunately, Mannatech won't even advertise it anymore. My guess is that they want to focus on Ambrotose, which I could never tell did me any good... but I was in good health. The multitude of people who claim that Ambrotose cured them is what is called "anecdotal testimony" and the pretense by the medical profession is that "anecdotal testimony" is a euphemism
for "doesn't count." It might not count to those who want to make money on you FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE administering health destroying drugs to you THAT WON'T CURE YOU but it would sure mean something to me if it was one of my loved ones who was cured.

"Overpriced sugar pill"? What's he recommending? The FDA and the AMA? That makes the sugar pill look awfully cheap and far healthier. When the American medical mafia quit murdering 100,000 people a year, come back and talk to me. Until then, you're an idiot.

The stupidity of a person is directly related to their personal interest in stuff! Pitty though that such people keep on making the same silly mistakes till death removes their obvious blunders from being too widely published. The unbelieving will never rest in peace! They are a source of self distruction! Fortunately the laws of life prevails. What you say is what you get!
-Mannatech is a God given company and all those who wash their mouths against them are co-workers of darkness, killing, lying, destroying!

Hmmm... you are trying to promote your product as the be all and end all with no proof of effectiveness but question legit products used by athletes who are the first to notice and say to others if something works or not? I read a lot about health and try things on my own, if they work... great... if they don't, I drop them and tell others. There is a lot of hype in the supplements business, far more than is warranted, but even so, reputations are won and lost very quickly. For instance, bodybuilding forums and even magazines regularly get the products being promoted with independent lab studies to confirm what the labels say.

Let me get this right, you question the labels of products that are tested by independent labs BUT not for one minute, question the claims of a product that is nothing but table sugar? Protein, vitamins etc... they do make a difference, this has been proven time and again by sport nutritionists the world over. Does the average person need this? Probably not... but as a person who enjoys pushing himself hard in the gym and in life... it makes a very big difference beyond the placebo effect.

Even the cold pressed fish oils? A company can state that they have a certain amount of vitamins or certain type of fish oil, certain type of protein in it, but without the studies, why would you believe them or purchase and use their supplements?

So the vitamins that you take, you sure they contain what the label states? And that goes for any vitamin, protein shake or supplement you use. Has any studies been done to support their claims? If so, please name a company that sells supplements that have done the studies you require for their claims to be validated, like double blind studies. Even studies can be done on vitamins. Labs can test to see how much of the vitamins are in the pills and how much of it your body can actually utilize.

With a great diet, supplements aren't needed for the average person but when I get into the gym or do lots of travel, I notice a big difference by taking a generic multi-vitamin, glucosamine, whey protein powder mixed in water and cold-pressed fish oils. The problem with Mannatech is their products are useless because you might as well shovel a spoonful of white sugar in your mouth, I hope the FTC ruling regarding bunk products makes them either prove their claims scientifically or go out of business.

The only thing that is silly in my opinion is allowing people to spread lies and rumors at the detriment to others without calling them out - as I have done.

Sorry for mistake: The person with the experience is never inferior to the person with the argument.

------

In the case of Mannatech, I completely disagree - if you would be so kind as to answer the questions from Steve (I am still waiting), that would be fantastic! This product is based on junk-science and "belief", PLEASE prove me wrong - I would love Mannatech to respond to all of my questions but so far, I believe they fear the truth. "I feel better" isn't proof, a double-blind independent study is at least heading in the right direction... something they can EASILY afford to do.

Hi, I'm in Cape Town South Africa and am, along with nearly 10 000 other South Africans, enjoying Mannatech's network and it's products immensely! I want to add 2 ideas.
1) The person with the experience is never inferior to the person with the experience! John, Andrew, Christina and Jon, you seem very negative and spend much time digging graves rather than planting flowers - this is not good for your health - makes you acidic, but then again, we need grave-diggers to help bring balance ...
2) When people want to get into detailed arguments re Mannatech like you all have on this blog, I nicely tell them: "Believe and receive, or doubt and do without."
Some will and some won't. (I just know that if I ever should have cancer, I'd consume loads of Glyconutrients as well as Starlight). If it helps my body heal itself by recognizing and successfully fighting off the tumour, then my life has been saved without any adverse side-effects of poisonous drugs! Remember, FIRST DO NO HARM

-------

I appreciate your comment but I fail to see what is so "negative" about asking for proof that a "medicine" (using this term extremely loosely) actually works. If the medical field was purely based on "belief", we would still be using shamans to cure cancer instead of chemotherapy and surgery. Let's get this right, cancer is the bodies own cells that fail to die, taking sugar (regardless of origin) is no different than drinking loads of water... sure you may feel "better" but the net result is the same... you being scammed out of your money. I honestly wish this actually did work, but from my standpoint, of which you are proof, Mannatech should be thrown out of business and its executives forced into solitary confinement for all the psychological harm they are causing to people around the world. They are worse than religion in my opinion, because they don't help anybody but themselves.
