The Adventures of Stinky and Sticky - a new introspective venture into self discovery. http://stinkyandsticky.com - updated daily.
Like many things in life, if you don’t have a passion for it, then the energy required to keep it moving forward will not last.
What is PASSION?
Although there are many branches to describe passion in all our lives, they all come from one root… passion is an undying desire to achieve a goal. There is no scale or motive with passion, it’s either there or not. The incredible power of passion is that it gives the body the equivalent of a nuclear bomb of energy from one simple seed. It gives you focus, temper, forethought and most importantly, a desire that can easily overcome any obstacle in your path. Passion is like a disease, it can be given to others but not all can develop its symptoms.
What are your passions?
I find it very easy to find a passion within an individual, usually it pops up from a simple conversation… passion is the one or two things that make you wake up in the morning, passion is that itch that must be scratched, passion is that spark that ignites everlasting fires… passion is the most overused yet least understood skills us humans have. EVERYBODY has a passion in life, no matter social status, background or intentions (good or bad), there is a passion within every one of us – luckily I have found and developed mine but with a little skill, you can find your as well.
The power of passion
Finding one passion is wonderful but being able to mix and mold them to achieve your goals in life is magnificent! Take for instance my passion for educating people, mix that with a passion for the arts and add in a sprinkle of self preservation (the strongest passion of them all) and you get… stinkyandsticky.com! ![]()
What do amoebas have to do with you? EVERYTHING!
If you ever took a biology class when you where younger or are in one now… the one specimen that is by far the most interesting to watch is the amoebas – they seem intelligent yet have no brain, they seem powerful by their mass yet have no muscles or rigid structures, they are both mortal and immortal, shapeless yet structured… all wrapped into one micro-organisms! They live their entire lives (original or cloned) in the space of only a few inches – their only nourishment is what they bump into… life can’t get any simpler!
What does that have to do with passion and your everyday life? Easy… what amoebas show to all of us is that there is an alternative to our hectic lifestyles, there is nothing in nature that states that we MUST do anything beyond simply existing – we, unlike the amoebas, have an incredible amount of freedom, we eat what we want, we can be anywhere in the world within 24 hours and we can choose to shape our destiny the way WE want – I am not talking about reacting to your environment like amoebas but the true freedom of terraforming it into what you want it to be.
Why did I begin stinkyandsticky.com?
Basically, I want to give people a different perspective on their daily lives, sometimes it will be a much needed laugh, other times a few seconds in introspective thought on where their lives are headed. Regardless of the medium, I wanted to explore another part of myself yet still share it with others to make them think beyond their next meal.
The Bottom Line
There is nothing you cannot achieve in this life, NOTHING… if you have enough passion to make it happen and drive to see it through, you can form the future that you desire.
